Adding sharing buttons to each sharing tool

Each sharing tool can be configured to share to any combination of social networks. This means that when Hubbub Pro adds support for sharing to new services (such as Threads and Mastodon) you’ll need to add these networks to the active tools on your site. In this support doc we’ll explain how.

Share tools this applies to #

  • Floating Sidebar
  • Inline Content
  • Sticky Bar
  • Pop-up

First, click on the Settings icon for the tool you’d like to edit.

Then, click Select Networks.

Add or remove the networks (or buttons) you’d like to have on this particular sharing tool. Click “Apply Selection” to continue.

Don’t forget: You can also reorder the buttons by dragging them up or down in the list.

Repeat for the other sharing tools.

For more customization options, see the Customizing Hubbub Pro support doc.

Newer network options #

Depending on your plan/version, you may also see:

  • Nextdoor
  • Copy
  • System Share

Copy places the post title and URL on the user’s clipboard.

System Share uses the device/browser native share sheet when available.

Show “All” button option #

Each share tool can now include an All button.

When enabled:

  • An All button appears alongside your selected networks
  • Clicking it opens a modal with all available share options

Important! Click “Save Settings” at the bottom of the settings page after making any changes to your sharing tools.

Best practice #

  • Keep your top-performing networks visible
  • Add Copy as a universal fallback
  • Use the All button to reduce clutter while still offering more options

Troubleshooting #

If a network is selected but not visible:

  • Confirm the sharing tool itself is active
  • Confirm display conditions are met (mobile, scroll, or device settings)
  • Clear all caches
  • Check for theme or plugin CSS that may be hiding the buttons
